It has been very difficult for me to interview Ezzy and Joseph Dominick as they are so busy with their individual and their Caterpillar projects.  Instead I asked them to do another video blog answering my amazing questions.  If only they understood it is when they listen to me that they produce amazing footage.

A "Caterpillar" look back on 2011

Last year was an AMAAAAAAAAZING year. I would have never DREAMED that it would have been so adventurous or fulfilling. What amazes me the most is that every month we had an event to participate/perform in. This is what our highlighted events list looked like last year:

January -
We began the year by presenting at the "Whole House Open Mic"

February-
Booshiee was featured in "Ultimate Valentine" at H.F.C.C.

March-
Booshiee hosted a benefit concert for an artist in need at "H.F.C.C." (she's pretty popular ;)

April-
The Caterpillar crew headed to Tampa, Florida to do their very first "Caterpillar Tour".

May-
We had the privilege to engage the youth at a "NYC Juvenile R. C."  

June-
The Caterpillar crew presented an excerpt of Caterpillar & P-Tape at the "Redeemer Actor's Group Monologue Slam"

July-
"Peru Mission's Trip". Along with serving the Peruvian people with VBS we were able to do pieces of the Caterpillar show. 

August-
Miss Sophie Hosted a benefit concert At "New Season C.C." (She's def very popular =)

September-
The Caterpillar Crew hosted the "H.F.C.C. Block Party".

October-
Caterpillar was featured at Theater Row's "United Solo Festival".

November-
By popular demand Caterpillar & friends took their epic sauce off Broadway to "The Producer's Club". 

December-
Was our busiest month yet. We did 4 Christmas presentations.  Held at NYC Parks Dept. &  NYC Juvenile R. C. 

As I look back I'm grateful and humbled at every opportunity we (the caterpillar crew) experienced in 2011. The many doors God allowed for us to walk through. I would not have been able to dream that big for myself. However, allowing God to dream for us and to allow him to lead us through this journey has been the best freakin experience ever!!!  

I do not know what 2012 has in store for us. I have no clue as to what stages we will walk on or how many lives God will allow us to touch. The only thing I know for sure is that I am doing what I was created to do. Are you?

1st blog post of 2012 ~"New Chapter"

New-chapter

When reading a book a reader knows that they will go through various pages that turn into chapters. With each new chapter changes take place. As the reader is introduced to new scenarios he/she learns about trials and triumphs that bring the heart of the story to life. In that same way God has allowed for me to close a chapter in my life in order to unveil a new one. In short, this past Sunday was my last Sunday at my home church Harvest Fields Community Church.

The reason why I am leaving is because Pastor Mitchell did not agree to pay me 12 thousand dollars to put up my new play entitled “Band of Epic-ness”. I mean How DARE HE!??!!  Lololol Ok, so the real reason is because I am Johnny Depp’s live in girl friend and we have been having hot sex and serving Jesus! (Ezzy cries uncontrollably) Don’t believe me?!?! Alright I’m just playing around. I mean I did turn Johnny Depp down though. (lololol j/k) The truth behind my departure of my beloved Harvest Fields is quite simple. Ready? Ok here goes, wait for it…… God told me to do it. (waits for reader to finish sucking their teeth)

Yes it is as simple as that.  I need to move forward and serve in other churches. Yes I said churches. I was given very specific places that I must attend and serve in. I was also given specific time lines. I do realize that what I am sayng might sound crazy. You don’t have to believe what I am saying however it does not make it untrue ;) Bottom line is that I MUST do what has been asked of me to do.

Question, how many things has God asked you to give up and YOU decided not to? When will you allow him to lead you? And can you truly say that you trust the plan he has set for your life? (OUCH I know I been there) It’s NOT EASY!!! I found myself crying a few nights ago because it hit me that Harvest is my HOME and I did not want to leave it! Harvest is the place where God restored me. It is the place where I found healing; At harvest I found peace & learned about having a real relationship with God and the church body. And how could I forget, it is the place where I found Miss Sophie =)

If I allowed myself to be selfish and stay I’m sure things for me would not be very pleasant. I would be messing with God’s plan not just for my life but for the lives of others.  I’ve learned that my choice definitely affects those around me whether they are close to me or not. Our choices affect an entire body. Truth is as a leader one does not have the luxury to make foolish choices and expect to NOT receive consequences because of them.  Perhaps it’s time to start considering giving up that thing you "love" so much. The thing that we sometimes put above God himself. (yes we can do that with church. I did)  In the end it would only be making room for something new and needed to enhance your life.

What will it take for you to finally take a step towards embracing God’s plan for your life? It took me about 2 and ½ years. (ask Jd lol he’ll tell you about how I avoided working with him.) Even in writing this blog I felt like it was the mark or an entirely new saga. Transparency has always been an issue for me but this year I’m choosing to write about that very thing I fear to do.  My prayer is that you too can embrace your fears, sustain in HIM as you walk, & reach for HIM as you leap.

Where Art Thou Caterpillar #11

It seems Ezzy and Joseph have gone mad.  Having performed in the Broadway district already, they are now setting their sites on Radio.  Yes, you heard it here first.  I have confirmed the Caterpillar Crew is creating their own Internet Radio Show.
